President's Day weekend, 2002. Beth and I arrived in Reno late Friday night, crashed at Jordan's pad in Tahoe, and then headed to Mammoth for a two-day stay. Staying in nearby Lee Vining, we caught one of our favorite bands on Saturday night, Spearhead--fronted by righteous leadman Michael Franti. During the show the skies opened up and over 16 inches of fresh Sierra powder fell onto Mammoth .

After two fun days playing on Mammoth and her 28 chair lifts we headed back to Tahoe. On the way home we decided to take a closer look at the lake by our hotel in Lee Vining, the ancient and infamous Mono Lake. Click here or below to see pictures.
